Virgin Births? Dragons? Huh?

An editorial observer in today’s NY Times discusses the abilitites of some females to “reproduce” without a male partner, and then poses the (obvious?) question: So, if they can do this, who needs males? (Don’t worry, an answer is given.)

Do we need to restructure education?

A very interesting article from Malaysia. This “academic” has re-thought the educational process top-to-bottom. Contrary to what I’ve read elsewhere, the author de-emphasizes science and math skills early on in favor of encouraging creative thinking and a joy of learning.
